New Moon Network Partners with Le Shaw Institute to Promote Sex-Positive Advocacy
New Moon Network, a intermediary fund and capacity builder aimed at advancing the rights and welfare of people in the sex trade, has partnered with le Shaw Institute to support advocates with lived experience in the sex trade.
le Shaw, the International Sexual Health and Wellness Research Institute, strives to advance sex-positive principles, promote human rights, address misconceptions, inform data-driven decision making, and enhance sexual health and intimate wellbeing worldwide.
New Moon Network and le Shaw will focus their collaboration on deepening the impact and value of Spokes Hub, a virtual peer learning academy for sex workers and survivors of exploitation in the sex trade. Through their collaboration, both groups aim to build and promote a more informed and supportive environment for people in the adult industry, and ultimately for the world.
Savannah Sly, founder and co-director of New Moon Network, praises le Shaw for recognizing the importance of including sex workers in their work: “We’re grateful to le Shaw for providing financial and technical support to the Spokes Hub program, and for viewing people in the sex trade as critical partners in the advancement of a healthy, ethical sex positive society.”
Bobbi Bidochka, Director of le Shaw, emphasized the importance of this partnership: “We believe that New Moon Network is the ideal partner in our mission to support the sex work community. Their dedication to advancing advocacy for sex workers aligns perfectly with our goals, and together, we can make a significant impact in promoting human rights and enhancing sexual health.”
